I started out on this adventure by deciding I was going to cycle LEJOG. The decision to fundraise is admittedly a secondary product of my ambition. This is not to say that I care any less about my chosen cause- not at all! But I did struggle for a while with the concept that the fundraising was not the raison d’être for the tour. It seems you can’t so much as run 3 miles these days without people asking who you’re doing it for. Which is all very commendable and generous and lovely, but it leaves me feeling slightly confused about my credentials…
